More about the course

The MSc Immersive and Creative Technologies is designed for those who wish to pursue an academic or professional career in the exciting and constantly developing immersive technologies industry. During the course you will develop advanced research and practical skills and knowledge in relation to current developments in the immersive technology industry.

This course is designed for those who have recently finished a Honours Degree in a technical or creative discipline, such as Animation, Media, Graphics or Games Design and Development wishing to take their research and practical skills further, or those in industry who would like to upskill and formalise their experiences. Upon completion, students will have a broad range of advanced technical skills. This is an 18-month course which will prepare you for the challenges and developments within the immersive tech sectors.

Entry requirements

A relevant Honours Degree (BA or BSc) at grade 2:2 or higher.

Mature students (age 21 and over) will be considered only on the basis of relevant industry experience.

Applicants for whom English language is not their first language are expected to achieve a minimum IELTS Score of 6.0 or the nationally recognised equivalent.

Following the completion of the programme, you will be qualified to work in the fields of VR/AR/MR development, games design and development, interaction design, user experience (UX) design or research.
